History
Acquired in 1994, Completed in 1998.  Formerly referred to as Leisure Park, this one-acre open space area is located between City Hall and the Old Settlement Centre.

Features
This 1-acre park is located in the north-central portion of the city.  Existing facilities include:
  • an open shelter with indoor restrooms
  • paved asphalt path system
  • boardwalk through the adjacent woods
  • open turf area
The playground equipment provided on site accommodates both age groups, ages 2-5 years and 5-12 years.

Conservation Areas
This park has a 5-acre forested area named "Betty's Woods" to memorialize Betty Czarapata who spearheaded invasive species management efforts here and throughout Muskego.  These woods have an exceptional growth of spring ephemeral wildflowers and has endangered crow's foot sedge growing in a wooded wetland depression.  A boardwalk trail allows convenient viewing of these woods.

Parking

There is a parking lot at City Hall to the south and Old Muskego Settlement Centre to the northwest as well as parking along Pioneer Dr.
