It turns out that relatively small changes in regional atmospheric temperatures have been amplified through the dynamics of the Great Lakes to produce large changes in lake temperature and similarly large changes in the Great Lakes water budget, leading to substantial variability in water. In this talk, Professor Paul J. Roebber from the UWM Atmospheric Sciences/School of Freshwater Sciences will cover these topics and link changes at the global scale to the local level.
