In honor of the Irish in all of us, the Muskego Library is delighted to present Jeff Pockat, Gaelic harpist and storyteller. Jeff Pockat is a self-taught Celtic harp (Gaelic harp) musician and composer. The music is performed on the Ancient Wire Strung Celtic Harp. These are traditional and original pieces that soothe the mind, soul, body, and spirit. Various historic names are associated with this instrument: Gaelic harp, Celtic harp, clarsach, clairseach, cruit, Harp, Arpa, Harfe, folk harp. No matter what you call the instrument, the music Jeff elicits from it is heart-felt, soothing and makes you want to get up and dance, all at the same time.
