Summer Reading

Summer Reading 2020 Poster

Participate in our reading program, earn incentives, and discover great books.

2020 Summer Reading is here! Designed to engage all ages in exploring new ideas, books, and activities, we offer tailored challenges for adults, teens, and kids. Best of all - the program is totally free! As you read books and complete the activities, you are eligible to win badges and raffle tickets to use towards prizes. Program begins June 15th and ends August 22nd.

We’ve Gone Virtual

The best way to track your progress is through the Beanstack app or web site. To get started we recommend that you create a Beanstack account. Parents can also create accounts for their children. In Beanstack, you can view the available activities, enter the books you have read, write book reviews and more. You will receive tickets as you progress that can be entered into drawings at the end of the summer.

Beanstack app is available for iOS and Android.

To register, visit the Beanstack website or login through the app. Beanstack will automatically direct you to the appropriate activities based on your age. Include an email address or telephone number as part of your profile so we can contact you if you win a prize.

Track Offline

If you don’t have internet access, or aren’t comfortable using a computer or smartphone, you can still participate! Paper logs are available, ask for one at the reference desk.

As you log reading time and complete activities, you earn raffle tickets you can use towards our prize drawings at the end of summer. Tickets must be assigned to be included in the prize drawing. Any unassigned tickets will disappear after the program ends.

This year, most of our prizes have been purchased by the Friends of the Muskego Library from businesses who have partnered or supported the library in that past.

All of our programs, including our Summer Reading special events, have gone virtual this year. Visit our events calendar for more information on when and where you can watch!
