Muskego Municipal Court
Due to the state of emergency declarations by both President Trump and Governor Evers and pursuant to guidance by the Centers for Disease Control, Court proceedings for the Muskego Municipal Court will be cancelled for the upcoming dates: Wednesday April 8 and April 22. We do this out of an abundance of caution and in the spirit of doing our part to halt the spread of the novel coronavirus/Covid-19. All cases will be rescheduled. A notice to each defendant and/or his/her lawyer informing them of the cancellation and assigning them a new date to appear will be mailed out.
Welcome to the Muskego Municipal Court webpage. I hope that you will find the information to be useful.
Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes, the Municipal Court deals exclusively with cases involving city ordinance violations in the form of traffic citations, municipal code violations, and parking citations. Offenses brought before our court are violations that occur within the city limits and are not classified as criminal offenses.
Every person issued an ordinance violation has certain legal rights and responsibilities, including the right to be heard. You are entitled to be represented by an attorney. The court will not appoint an attorney for you and the city does not pay for your attorney fees and expenses.
The City of Muskego Municipal Court provides a court that is fair to both the defendant and prosecution.
