Moorland Road Reconstruction
Background Information

The City of Muskego, in conjunction with the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is planning for the reconstruction of Moorland Road from Janesville Road to McShane Drive. The preliminary plans and right-of-way plat are scheduled to be completed in spring of 2016, with right-of-way acquisition beginning in summer of 2016.  Construction is scheduled to begin in spring of 2018 and completed in fall 2018.

Public Involvement Meetings

A Public Involvement Meeting (PIM) is scheduled for Monday, December 12, 2016.  The meeting will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the Muskego Room located in the lower level of the Muskego City Hall, located at W182W8200 Racine Avenue, Muskego, Wisconsin.  The PIM is an open house format and you may attend at anytime during the meeting at your convenience. 


Public Comment Requested for Project Impacts to Moorland Park

The City of Muskego is seeking public comment regarding the Moorland Road reconstruction project and the project’s impact to Moorland Park.  The project is located along Moorland Road/Durham Drive from Janesville Road to McShane Drive, and construction is scheduled for 2018.

 

In the northeast corner of Moorland Park, the project will disturb 0.01 acres of parkland for the construction of curb ramps that will connect to the existing pedestrian paths located on the west side of Moorland Road and south side of Sandalwood Drive. 

 

At the existing storm water pond located on Moorland Park property west of Moorland Road, an additional 0.09 acres of parkland will be used for roadway grading during the project to remove, replace, and install new storm sewer pipes.
