Voter Registration



By Mail


Download the Wisconsin Voter Registration Application, read the instructions, complete the form, and mail it to:

Be aware that there may be time restrictions that registration by mail is accepted.The application must be postmarked no later than the 20th day (third Wednesday) before an election. Please note that if you have not voted in WI and are submitting this application by mail, you must also provide a copy of your Proof of Residence.

In Person


You may register in-person at the Muskego Public Library during normal business hours on or before the third Wednesday at 5:00 pm before an election.

You may register in-person at the City Clerk’s Office during normal business hours on or before the Friday at 5:00 pm before an election.Registration is not permitted on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday before the election.

The Polls on Election Day


You may register on Election Day at your polling location. Proof of Residence is required to register on Election Day.

Application for Absentee Ballot


If you are not already registered, you will need to register to vote before an absentee ballot can be sent to you. All requests for an Absentee Ballot must be in writing by the elector. Download the Absentee Ballot Application (GAB-121).

Request by Mail


Complete the Application for Absentee Ballot form and mail it to:
City Clerk's Office

Muskego, WI 53150

The application must be received by the clerk no later than 5:00 pm on the Thursday before the election in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you.

Request in Person
You can request an Application for Absentee Ballot in person at the city clerk’s office. This can be done beginning the third Monday before the election and ends at 5:00 pm on the Friday before the election.

Deadline for Returning Ballot


The completed absentee ballot must be returned by mail or in person to the city clerk at City Hall by 8:00 pm on Election Day.If your absentee ballot is received after Election Day, it must be postmarked no later than Election Day and received by mail no later than 4:00 pm on the Friday after the election to be counted.
